Amber Middlebrook

Amber has been with the Science Mill since before it had walls, starting her journey with the team in August 2014.  She has over 20 years experience as an interdisciplinary educator in multiple contexts. As a Texas Certified 4th - 8th Science and Generalist teacher, she brings a passion for supporting educators, creating student-centered learning experiences, coordinating and delivering engaging and effective STEM instruction, and developing research-backed academic content that supports critical thinking, creativity across disciplines, diversity and inclusion.  Her Bachelor's degree in Theater and Minor in English and her experience in TV, film, theater, and event planning have served her well as an educator, program developer and partnership liaison. She lives in Granite Shoals with her long time partner Augie, has 4 children, 9 dogs, and a cat!  In her spare time, she likes to spend time in nature, sing, and be present with her family.
