Rachel Grotte

Meet Rachel, our STEM Education Specialist. She grew up in Oregon, enjoying the mountains, rivers and beaches. This love of the outdoors led to an education at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she studied Ecology. Rachel loves teaching science! In her previous roles, she has taught courses in Biology, Microbiology and Environmental Science at UTSA and A&M San Antonio. For Rachel, teaching is all about those Ah-ha! moments. “You know a lab is really clicking when you see that look of wonder on kids' faces; those “Ah-ha!” moments are my favorite part of working at the Science Mill!
